Suspiciously Elvis Introduces his Band

“I love doing this Show, we always have a lot of fun. The Band are like family. We have the perfect line-up of musicians, singers and dancers and here are some of the main players…”

“Tony was instrumental in forming the Suspiciously Elvis show and has been in the drummers seat ever since.

To the delight of his parents, Tony started banging wooden spoons on pots and pans at the age of eight, and has been making a lot of noise ever since! He has meticulously studied the style of playing required for this show.

By watching hours of original footage of Elvis and his prized drummer Ronnie Tutt, Tony manages to re-create not just the original sound but more important, that famous special, playful relationship Elvis had with his drummer”

“We are delighted to have Mike working with us.
Mike is classically trained and has been playing and writing music since he was six. He has written music for ballet, TV and theatre, and is a tutor at the London Centre of Contemporary Music where he specialises in performance studies. He is currently on tour with the official Blues Brothers stage show.

Mike is our musical director and works closely with me on scoring our authentic Elvis arrangements”

“Darren started playing at the tender age of 6 after jumping around while his Dad bashed out Elvis songs on an old acoustic.

He was playing the electric guitar at 9 in the school band with his brother, and has not stopped since.

Darren is a highly versatile guitarist who has played with a galaxy of musicians including Elvis’ guitarist James Burton, Brian May, Billy Ocean, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Mica Paris and Marti Pellow. As well as playing with Suspiciously Elvis, he currently tours with Katrina from ‘Katrina and The Waves’ and is a full time member of the Shakin’ Stevens band”

Darren Rehu

Bass Guitar

“Starting early, Darren began his music career as a child. In 1994 Darren played bass in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR for a year on tour in Australia and his native New Zealand. In 1995 he received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

Following a trip to London in 1998 he was asked to audition for Jamiroquai and subsequently went on to work with a host of major artists throughout the ‘90s and beyond.

Darren’s versatility and experience added a whole new energy to our show and he immediately locked in with Tony on drums to make an dynamite combo that gives us all a kick up the behind!

To me he is the finest bass player in the business”

“How lucky are we! The amazing Rietta is a vocal force to be reckoned with. An established lead vocalist in her own wright, with credits from having opened the O2 in London, to performing the Glastonbury Festival with Dame Shirley Bassey, as well as providing additional vocals on Dame Shirley’s latest album.

Rietta’s debut album CUT ME LOSE was released in the UK and her debut single for Hedkandi was released worldwide. She has performed across the globe from Ronnie Scotts, to supporting Bryan Adams, to musicals including CATS and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.

Rietta has been with us for some years now, the crowd love her, and so do we”
